Plastic & Polycarbonate Laser Engraving | Custom Product Branding

Custom laser engraving and branding on suitable polycarbonate and engineered plastic products. Logos, contact details, serial numbers and repeat product-line customisation from Able Enterprises, Sunshine Coast.

Custom laser engraving on suitable polycarbonate plastics and finished products, from single personalised items to repeatable branded product lines. Able Enterprises helps Sunshine Coast businesses, suppliers and product manufacturers add professional identification, logos, contact details, serial numbers and custom markings directly to compatible plastic surfaces.

Turn everyday products into branded products

Not every product needs a printed sticker or a separately fitted identification plate. On compatible plastics, we can mark the product housing itself, creating an integrated appearance without adding a label edge that can lift or peel. We work with businesses that want to customise existing stock, produce corporate gifts, add their branding to supplied equipment or develop consistent markings across an ongoing product range.

Example: a branded polycarbonate USB wall charger

Custom laser branding on a white polycarbonate charger, showing the detail achievable on suitable product housings.

Our illustrated project is a white dual-USB wall charger customised with the AbleTech Solutions logo, telephone number and website address. The fine detail demonstrates how a compact plastic enclosure can carry both prominent branding and smaller practical information. The engraving produced a subdued grey mark that complements the white housing instead of requiring coloured vinyl or a bulky external label.

Customisation for product lines and business equipment

Which plastics can be laser engraved?

Polycarbonate is used for many electronics housings, covers, equipment components and protective products, but not all polycarbonate formulations respond to laser marking in the same way. Additives, pigments, coatings, fillers, moulding methods and surface texture all influence whether a legible contrasting mark can be achieved. Other engineered plastics may also be suitable after assessment. We do not assume that two products with the same general plastic name will produce identical results.

For white and light-coloured housings, an appropriate process can sometimes create a contrasting grey or dark mark, as illustrated by our charger example. The tone, contrast and detail need to be established through material evaluation and, where practical, sample testing. Some items may not be suitable for direct laser marking at all.

Why choose direct engraving instead of a sticker?

Important: durability, permanence and chemical resistance depend on the actual material, mark depth and operating environment. We can discuss the intended use and assess samples rather than promise the same outcome for every plastic.

Ideal for suppliers, manufacturers and local businesses

We can discuss small-batch and repeat engraving requirements for businesses supplying accessories, promotional products, communications equipment, enclosures and other compatible manufactured goods. A repeatable product program may involve an approved sample, an agreed artwork layout, positioning reference and quantity-based production planning.

How we approach your project

  1. Review your product: send photos, dimensions, material details if known and the number of units.
  2. Check artwork and placement: we review the available marking area, logo detail and any required variable information.
  3. Assess compatibility: we consider the plastic type, finish, product construction and potential safety or warranty implications. Sample testing may be needed.
  4. Approve the result: where appropriate, a trial mark or sample confirms the appearance before a production run.
  5. Engrave the batch: approved artwork and positioning help keep the result consistent across eligible items.

Important considerations for electrical products

The USB charger shown is an example of cosmetic branding on a finished plastic enclosure, not an offer to modify electrical performance, certification or compliance markings. All electrical equipment must remain suitable and compliant for its intended use. We assess whether the proposed marking area is appropriate and avoid required safety labels, ratings and regulatory marks. Customers supplying electrical or other regulated products remain responsible for determining whether post-manufacture marking affects approvals, warranties or product compliance.

Customer-supplied products welcome for assessment

Already stock a product you would like branded? Send us its make or model, a clear photograph, approximate marking area, material identification if available, vector logo if you have one and the quantities you have in mind. We can then advise whether evaluation, sample engraving or a production quotation is practical. We do not guarantee the suitability of unknown or coated plastics without assessment.
